We hope your child will join OPYBS again for the upcoming baseball/softball season!
Returning players may register on-line and pay with a credit card at any time. For those who prefer to register live, we will continue to hold in-person registration on Saturday, January 21st, 2017, from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm at the Longfellow Center (610 S. Ridgeland.) Cash, checks and credit cards will all be accepted at this in-person registration. Full details on registration, along with a link to the on-line registration form, are also available on our website. New players (at all age levels) must bring a copy of your child's birth certificate and proof of residency in Oak Park (i.e. phone bill, lease, mortgage bill) or proof of attendance at an Oak Park school (i.e. report card, school ID). These may be scanned and uploaded if registering on-line. Registration is for boys five to 12 and girls five to 14.
We hope you will consider adding a voluntary contribution of $25 when you register to go toward this fund.

Baseball Age Requirements:
T-Ball - Players must at least be in Kindergarten on or before 9/1/2017 to register.
Pinto - 8 years old on or before 4/30/2017
Jr. Bronco/Mustang - 9 years old on or before 4/30/2017
Bronco/Shetland - 11 years old on or before 4/30/2017
Softball Age Requirements:
T-Ball born in 2011, 2010, 2009, 2008; must at least be in Kindergarten at time of registration and less than three years in T-Ball overall or third graders with less than two years of T-Ball.
9U born in 2008 and 2007
10U born in 2007 and 2006
12U born in 2005 and 2004
14U born in 2003 and 2002
Players new to program must provide proof of residency, proof of enrollment in an Oak Park school and birth certificate of player at inperson registration on January 23. Softball evaluations will be held in February to help evenly allocate players across teams. This is not a try-out. ALL girls who sign up will be on a team in their age-appropriate league. Mustang and Shetland leagues are open to all who are age eligible. Jr. Bronco and Bronco are tryout / draft leagues. All are player pitch leagues, except Pinto (machine pitch) and 9U (machine and player pitch). 9U and 10U use an 11” standard softball. 12U and 14U use a 12” regulation softball. Season starts mid April and runs through June. Baseball games and practices are weeknights and weekends. Softball games and practices are weeknights, typically Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Tuesdays and weekends are left open to accommodate practice and tournaments for travel softball clubs, allowing club players to participate in both.
NOW OPEN TO KINDERGARTENERS
Players new to program must provide proof of residency, proof of enrollment in an Oak Park school and birth certificate of player at inperson registration. Player must be at least 5 years old by December 31, 2017 (Girls) or August 31, 2017 (Boys) AND enrolled in kindergarten. Boys T-ball will be played with a RIF level 5 ball. Girls T-ball will use an 11” soft center softball. Season starts mid-April and runs through June. Games and practices occur on weeknights and weekends.
OPYBS Refund Policy
A full refund minus a $10 processing fee is available up until the try-out/evaluation date for leagues that hold them or before the first game of the season for all other leagues. We will refund 50 percent of your fee up to one week into the season. Once the organization's second week begins, we cannot offer refunds.
