The Eagles’ Program is a highly regarded summer travel baseball program with a long history of representing Oak Park against the best competition in the Chicago area and beyond.

The Oak Park Eagles offer Bronco and Junior Bronco players the opportunity to extend their baseball experience beyond the conclusion of the regular house league baseball season. The program is committed to providing the best possible competitive baseball experience for players. The program places a strong focus on sportsmanship, fair play, character building, and skill development. The Oak Park Eagles baseball program takes a developmental approach to competitive baseball in a fun and enjoyable environment. The goal is to have each player have fun learning the game of baseball while growing from the increasing level of competition at each age bracket. In the end, we believe our players are better baseball players and better young men as a result of participating in our Eagles baseball program.

Schedule and Commitment

Eagles’ baseball is a big time commitment. Players should be available
each Sunday in May and June for practices and scrimmages. There will be tournaments over the Memorial Day weekend, July 4th weekend, and throughout the month of July. Players should expect to play baseball 7 days a week in July. Before rosters will be finalized, each player must commit to meeting these availability requirements. Although the cost for Eagles has not been finalized, it will likely be between $360.00 and $375.00 per player. The cost covers team uniforms, insurance, equipment, and fees to participate in four tournaments.

Evaluations

To be eligible to play on the Eagles this season, a player must attend one of these two sessions. It is strongly recommended that players attend both sessions in order to allow as much evaluation as possible. To be eligible to play on an Eagles’ team this season, a player must attend at least one of the tryout sessions. We strongly recommend that all players attend both sessions to allow as much evaluation as possible (and in case we have to cancel one of the sessions due to the weather). Eagles’ players will be selected and notified shortly after tryouts.

Players should wear a cup, bring a glove, and a bat (if they have one) to the evaluations. We will have extra bats on hand if needed. Players will be evaluated at the following stations: Hitting, Infield, Outfield and Pitching. Players should arrive 15 minutes early to warm up.
