Registration is for boys 5 to 12 and girls 5 to 14. All players may register on-line and pay with a credit card at any time. New players (at all age levels) must provide a copy of your child’s birth certificate. These must be scanned and uploaded. A copy of the OPYBS Communicable Disease Waiver, signed by both parents (if applicable), is also required.
We hope you will consider adding a voluntary contribution of $10, $25, or $50 when you register to go toward the Field Improvement Fund.

T-Ball - birthday between 9/1/2015 and 8/31/2017
Pinto - birthday between 9/1/2014 and 8/31/2015
Jr. Bronco/Mustang - birthday between 9/1/2012 and 8/31/2014
Bronco/Shetland - birthday between 9/1/2010 and 8/31/2012
Softball Age Requirements:
T-Ball born in 2016 and 2017 (if currently enrolled in Kindergarten)
8U born in 2014 and 2015
10U born in 2012 and 2013
12U born in 2010 and 2011
14U born in 2008 and 2009
Players new to program must provide the birth certificate of the player during registration. Softball evaluations will be held in February/March to help evenly allocate players across teams. This is not a try-out. ALL girls who sign up will be on a team in their age-appropriate league. Mustang and Shetland leagues are open to all who are age eligible. Jr. Bronco and Bronco are tryout / draft leagues with tryouts being held in March. All are player pitch leagues, except Pinto (machine pitch) and 8U (coach and player pitch). 8U and 10U use an 11” standard softball. 12U and 14U use a 12” regulation softball. Season starts mid April and runs through June. Baseball games and practices are weeknights and weekends. Softball games and practices are weeknights, typically Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Tuesdays and weekends are left open to accommodate practice and tournaments for travel softball clubs, allowing club players to participate in both.
OPEN TO KINDERGARTENERS
Players new to program must provide the birth certificate of the player during registration. Players must be at least 5 years old by September 1, 2022 AND enrolled in kindergarten. Boys T-ball will be played with a RIF level 5 ball. Girls T-ball will use an 11” soft center softball. Season starts mid-April and runs through June. Games and practices occur on weeknights and weekends.
OPYBS Refund Policy
A full refund minus a $10 processing fee is available up until the try-out/evaluation date for leagues that hold them or before the first game of the season for all other leagues. We will refund 50 percent of your fee up to one week into the season. Once the organization’s second week begins, we cannot offer refunds.
To receive a refund, please send an email to President@OPYBS.org, Treasurer@OPYBS.org and VPBaseball@OPYBS.org / VPSoftball@OPYBS.org (for the appropriate league) with the following information:
