Welcome to the official web site of Oak Park Youth Baseball & Softball.

Play ball! Baseball or softball, our goal is to establish quality athletic, recreational and competitive programs with an emphasis on educating participants in the fundamentals of the game while promoting the values of sportsmanship and fair play. Through Oak Park Youth Baseball Softball, players and fans enjoy an atmosphere of fun and fellowship.

Since 2013 OPYBS players and coaches have been outfitted with jerseys and caps supplied by the Chicago White Sox; coaches and players have also received instruction from the Sox organization.

Register for Colt & Palomino High School Leagues

Register now at opybs.org for high schoolers interested in playing recreational baseball this summer in the OPYBS Colt or Palomino leagues. This is NOT travel ball and there are no tryouts. These are simply the next recreational levels after Pony league. Our season runs from June 1 through July 31, with respective division grade levels as follows:

Colt – Current school year Freshmen & Sophomores

Palomino – Current school year Juniors & Seniors

We play a 14-game season plus playoffs as part of the Chicago Suburban Youth Baseball Association (csyba.com). Our typical weekly schedule is 1-2 games plus possibly one Sunday practice. Home games and practices are at Lindberg Park, with the other seven “road” games at nearby Chicago neighborhoods and suburbs.
