OPYBS White Sox Night - IMPORTANT DETAILS

PLANNING FOR WHITE SOX NIGHT ARRIVAL -- PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BELOW FOR IMPORTANT DETAILS FOR OUR FRIDAY, JUNE 6th OPYBS WHITE SOX PRE-GAME PARADE AND GAME. IT'S ALSO WHITE SOX MEXICAN HERITAGE NIGHT, SO THEY ARE EXPECTING A FULL STADIUM. PLEASE PLAN ACCORDINGLY TO BE ON TIME.

Please download the MLB Ballpark app. Over the next few days, Team Ticket Captain will digitally transfer tickets to each family that purchased. It will come as an email from the White Sox - then you need to click to accept the tickets which will transfer via Ticketmaster into the MLB Ballpark App.

If you haven’t gotten yours yet, reach out to your ticket captain. Do this before next Friday!

Coaches will have all the players’ tickets who are participating in the parade. (So if you ordered four tickets, you will get three transferred and the coach will have your child’s). There are both game tickets and parade tickets – coaches will have both for players to enter the stadium.

PLAN TO ARRIVE by 5/5:15pm to Gate 1 at Rate Field/White Sox stadium to drop your child with their team to participate in the pre-game parade. Leave plenty of time to get down there with Friday traffic, parking, walking to Gate 1, etc. Teams will gather and then go through security together, starting around 5:15pm.

Because you won’t have your child’s ticket – IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO ARRIVE ON TIME FOR THE PARADE. If you are late to drop your child, your team will enter without you and participate in the parade and you will have to wait until the parade is over for the coach to transfer your child’s ticket back electronically to you to enter.

Make sure you have your coach’s cell phone who is in charge of the tickets for the players. If you are running late, TEXT YOUR COACH. Don’t make the whole team wait and miss the parade.

You will drop your child at Gate 1 by 5/5:15pm (a hilly area near Lot E, see attached image) with their team. We ask that only one parent enters the area to find your team if possible to reduce congestion and then leaves once your child is connected with their team. Then families will enter through Gate 2 and wait inside the stadium for the 5:50pm parade.

Helpful hint: Coaches can bring a flag or helium balloon to hold up to help gather kids by Gate 1.

The parade is ONLY for players and coaches (head and assistant coaches).

Players should wear their OPYBS uniform shirt (pants are optional).

Starting at 5:15pm, teams will start to go through security and scan their tickets. They will gather and line-up on the other side of security for the parade which will start around 5:50pm.

COACHES – Once you have all your players, take your team to scan through!
